The instructor, Helen, was awesome and the farm house setting was excellent for a photography club meet up. My objective for taking the course was refamiliarizing my self with controlling off camera flash. She did that for me while also having to teach photography fundamentals to a less experienced participant. I look forward to doing more in depth classes and meet ups with Helen and the APC!

Title or Location: Cumberland Island, Georgia, USA
Cumberland Island is a barrier island on Georgia's Atlantic coast and is designated as a National Seashore. The island is home to a number of historical sites, and numerous wild animals including armadillos, boars, and horses. It's a magical experience to happen along the island's wildlife, and this moment was no exception. My partner had taken me to the island for my birthday, and she was the first one to spot the horses as we strolled along the beach. As they crested the dunes, I snapped this

This image is called "Hues of Tranquility". I shot it on a Canon EOS R5 with an RF 70-200mm F2.8 IS USM lens. The picture was taken on the west coast of Iceland during a recent trip there. The interesting thing about this image is that it was completely unplanned. I was actually on my way out of my accommodation for the night, heading to dinner, when this vista greeted me as I opened the door. The weather that day had been terrible, with horizontal rain at times, so to see such an amazing sun

Photography can be done anytime, anywhere. All a photographer needs to do is sit still and tune into the active world around them. In the hustle and bustle of the world, we are less likely to see the small, quiet things that happen. For this photo, I walked outside of my own house into my own front yard and disconnected from every electronic device that could distract me and just watched and listened. Only a few moments passed before I noticed the flowers subtly shifting and bobbing in the still

This is a photo of my buddy Eric Graise. When I shot this he was currently a theatre apprentice at Actor's Express and we were castmates in a production of Sweeney Todd. This was around the early stages of my photography journey so I would often shoot friends and family members for practice.Having spent some time in rehearsals with Eric I never noticed he has prosthetic legs until one day I saw him taking them off in the green room. I asked if he was opened to be photographed and at that tim

    Title or Location: Montforts Beach
It was nothing but grey skies and rain for days on end, but I decided that you don't always need epic sunsets for great photos. The dull weather also allowed me to get a 20 second exposure with an ND1000 filter giving that classic wispy water look. A wide angle lens allowed me to get nice and close and emphasize the subject, being that close also meant there was some close calls with the occasional freak wave coming up to where I had my tripod and me running back up the beach to escape them

There?s sunset and there?s sunset like this! As if Mother Nature decided that the colours were not enough and returned with these extraordinary after colours!I was a bit wavering that afternoon looking at those thick clouds building up but then a gap in those clouds made for a colour burst producing a sunset that has by far been one of the best in this year I have seen!
