Timing is everything...and sometimes it's just the weather. Lindsay was an excellent host/instructor, providing the tools necessary to experiment and familiarize a more customizable way of capturing the different scenes. Unfortunately, the weather did not permit the focus of the class up until the very end so much of the direction was turned towards experimentation with the elements at hand.

Lindsey is an incredibly patient, generous, and flexible teacher. Unfortunately, we didn?t see much in the way of birds or even wildlife. The turtles were cute. I think this class would have benefitted from a different time of day. Midday tends to be a quiet time of day.

I took this image back in December the day I got my macro 100mm. I was just wondering around my yard taking pictures of random subjects. I loved the way the light was hitting this empty vase on my back porch. I did a simple edit, mainly decreasing shadows and increasing temp, texture and clarity.
